A. A factory parts transporter called "Plattenwagen" (platform vehicle). This was a serie of little trucks that had a tubular frame and the driver sate behind the load facing it.

A. The VW Beetle lost its "pop's nose" center brake/license unit in favor of a separate license light with the brake lights combinced with the tail lights in OCT '52.

A. The Beetle rear window lost its divider on March 10, 1953. This wasn't just to increase the visibililty; it was also because by the late 1940s the ability to manufacture curved glass had been perfected.
